Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead L3/L4 troubleshooting across VPN, zero trust access, cloud web inspection, CASB, DLP, firewall policy, and hybrid cloud deployments.
  • •Perform packet capture and deep packet inspection to isolate connectivity, performance, and policy issues (e.g., IPsec tunnels, DNS, TLS/SNI, routing, NAT, IP pools).
  • •Drive proactive account health by monitoring capacity, upgrade readiness, config/policy drift, and preventing repeat incidents.
  • •Capture customer configurations, run daily regression checks, and surface issues before they impact the customer environment.
  • •Build clean engineering escalations (timeline, impact, reproduction, logs/pcaps/redacted configs), translate RCA/decisions Japanese↔English, and mentor junior liaison engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Fluent Japanese and English to present engineering updates and translate customer context without losing technical context.
  • •10+ years in networking/security with direct customer ownership and the ability to advocate both customer urgency and engineering feasibility.
  • •Strong TCP/IP (IPv4/IPv6), DNS, routing, IPsec tunnels, TLS, and cloud networking (AWS).
  • •Hands-on Kubernetes operations (scaling and basic troubleshooting) plus packet capture/analysis comfort (Wireshark/tcpdump or equivalent).
  • •Experience across VPN, zero trust, web inspection in the cloud, CASB, DLP, and firewall policy; Bash required (Python a plus).
