Job Summary

Supervise and direct routine and emergency electrical maintenance across all areas of the Lucky Friday mine. Coordinate electricians’ troubleshooting, inspections, testing, and repairs of electrical and electronic equipment and facilities, and align electrical department work with mine and concentrator operations. Ensure MSHA-required inspections and records, manage contractors, maintain reliability of electrical systems (power distribution through instrumentation/PLCs and leaky feeder), and oversee safety, environmental compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise and direct routine and emergency electrical maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, inspections, testing, and repairs.
•Ensure electrical inspections, testing, and repairs are performed and recorded according to MSHA requirements and comply with laws, company policies, and the collective bargaining agreement.
•Manage electricians’ work activities to implement maintenance plans safely and ensure timely completion to maximize equipment availability.
•Coordinate electrical department activities with mine and concentrator operations and manage electrical contractors and required reports.
•Maintain reliability and integrity of electrical systems (power distribution, motors, transformers, instrumentation/sensors/analyzers, PLCs, leaky feeder, and related projects) and participate in risk assessments and SOP development.

Key Requirements

•5 to 7 years’ experience in mining or a related industry, or a degree in Electrical or related discipline (or equivalent combination).
•Previous experience supervising and directing the work of others.
•Journeyman Electrician certification in Idaho or a reciprocal state (preferred).
•Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
•Prior experience in an underground mine (preferred).
