Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist local, state, tribal, and territorial clients in delivering FEMA Public Assistance following a presidentially declared disaster.
  • •Interpret and apply 44 CFR, the Stafford Act, and FEMA PA program guidance to evaluate documentation and develop project worksheets.
  • •Track project progress, identify risks, and ensure data integrity within the FEMA Grants Portal.
  • •Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction managers to verify quantities, develop cost estimates, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • •Perform documentation support including data entry into an electronic document management system and maintaining project filing systems; resolve routine issues and escalate complex ones.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS plus 2+ years of demonstrated performance with FEMA Public Assistance or other relevant state/federal programs (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Assist with FEMA Public Assistance delivery on at least two prior disasters (preferred).
  • •Must pass a state and federal criminal history/security background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
  • •Valid US Driver’s License for travel to various regional and satellite locations.
  • •Ability to operate computer applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel) and use virtual collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams).
