Job Summary

Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence reviews for higher-risk customer accounts as part of an AML team. Analyze public-source negative news, source of funds/wealth, beneficial ownership, Offshore Leaks Database matches, and regulatory inquiries, and document findings. Assess and escalate red flags and potential PEP matches, support the Head of EDD, coordinate with related AML, Trade Surveillance, and Special Investigations teams, and help meet KPI reporting and KYC/EDD procedure standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews on existing higher-risk customers on a risk-reflective cycle.
•Evaluate information from public searches for negative news, source of funds/wealth, beneficial ownership, Offshore Leaks Database checks, and related regulatory enquiries.
•Review cashiering activity (deposits, withdrawals, and wire transfers) to identify and document suspicious activity.
•Resolve or recommend actions for negative news and red flags, including potential PEP matches escalated by New Account Teams.
•Support the Head of EDD with KYC/EDD programme escalations, coordinate with AML and Trade Surveillance teams, and work toward EDD KPI reporting requirements.

Key Requirements

•2+ years’ experience in AML compliance, preferably with a European client base or an EU/UK regulator.
•Knowledge of EU and UK regulations and European Directives for KYC/EDD/CIP requirements.
•Strong analytical skills with intermediate experience using MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook, with strong attention to detail.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance, or accounting preferred, or CAMS (or similar ICA diploma).
