Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform data privacy compliance work for the SIA group under Singapore PDPA and global privacy laws, and advise on contentious matters.
  • •Regulatory compliance: advise business units on personal data protection matters and legal risks/implications of business decisions.
  • •Evaluate, implement, monitor, and remediate internal personal data protection compliance policies, procedures, controls, and compliance programme.
  • •Manage and respond to data subject access requests and privacy complaints or disputes.
  • •Handle civil litigation and advisory matters involving SIA in Singapore and overseas, including reviews/investigations, managing outside counsel, and advising on law enforcement/regulatory production orders and passenger claims.

Key Requirements

  • •A law degree from a reputable university in Singapore or a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
  • •At least two (2) years of legal experience gained in a reputable law firm or in-house.
  • •Excellent drafting skills.
  • •Added advantage in areas such as cybersecurity, litigation (aviation or cross-border), and/or intellectual property.
  • •Be able to work independently and as a team player, and communicate effectively in a dynamic environment.
