Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to the design and delivery of transmission and distribution projects, including HV power systems analysis, cabling, substations, transmission and distribution infrastructure, system balancing and protection.
  • •Engage with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and sub-contractors to communicate effectively and capture feedback on technical issues.
  • •Apply BS and Eurocodes standards to engineering design work to ensure compliant solutions.
  • •Support projects related to grid modernisation and the UK’s Great Grid Programme, including offshore wind integration where applicable.
  • •Collaborate across practice networks, participate in technical communities, and contribute to continuous learning and development.

Key Requirements

  • •An electrical/electronic/power engineering or similar qualification, such as an HNC, HND, BSc/BEng and/or an MSc/MEng.
  • •Demonstrable electrical engineering design consultancy experience working on transmission and distribution projects.
  • •Working knowledge of BS and/or Eurocodes for relevant engineering design standards.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally & in writing with the confidence to engage with a variety of people (clients, colleagues, stakeholders and sub-contractors alike) and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss technical issues and capture feedback.
  • •Experience within the energy/infrastructure sector and willingness to engage across cross-functional teams.
