Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop busway and busplug assemblies, including CAD solid modeling, simulations, specifications, drawing packages, BOM, and ECO creation.
  • •Support product testing and design validation, including prototype assembly/testing, DFMA assessments, and maintaining/upgrading products through MOL and VAVE support.
  • •Assist with third-party certifications such as UL, CSA, ISTA, and other regulatory agency requirements.
  • •Participate in multi-disciplined project execution using ProLaunch (including project management and coordination of improvements).
  • •Help set up and run electrical design tests using on-site lab equipment, complete test reports/data entry, and recommend changes based on test results.

Key Requirements

  • •Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • •Willing to relocate to the Hodges, SC site for the co-op.
  • •Skills in CAD/SolidWorks/Inventor solid modeling and the ability to develop detailed 2D drawings with tolerance controls and manage engineering documents via the Engineering Change Order process.
  • •Experience performing engineering tests and analyzing results, with basic understanding of phase gate project management tools.
