Key Responsibilities

•Own solution architecture for high-performance data pipelines and microservices, including non-functional requirements like resilience, scalability, latency, observability, and security.
•Define and drive modernization roadmaps (re-platform, refactor, microservices decomposition) with minimal disruption to live services.
•Establish engineering standards for API design, event-driven integration, data modeling, testing strategy, CI/CD, and operational readiness; manage technical debt with measurable outcomes.
•Architect, design, and build core services using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and PostgreSQL/RDBMS, including event streaming patterns.
•Drive real-time processing implementations (Apache Flink/Apache Beam) and ensure operational excellence for production workloads using monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, reliability improvements, and cost optimization.

Key Requirements

•15+ years in software engineering designing and delivering distributed systems and data-intensive applications.
•Strong hands-on Java experience with Spring Boot, REST/event-driven services, JPA/Hibernate, and SQL performance tuning.
•Proven system design skills including microservices patterns, async messaging, idempotency, consistency models, caching, rate limiting, and failure handling.
•Solid experience delivering cloud-native solutions, preferably on GCP (or equivalent with ability to translate).
•Experience with Kubernetes and deployment tooling (GKE, Helm, CI/CD) and observability practices.
