Job Summary

Create and maintain structural engineering drawings for civil bridges using WSP CAD standards and templates. Lead drawing preparation priorities and deadlines in collaboration with project engineers and the US team, ensuring document control and proactive issue resolution. Develop CAD/BIM templates and libraries, produce detailed bridge drawings, provide technical guidance to CAD/BIM technicians, and stay current with CAD technology advancements while supporting knowledge sharing and training within the GCC.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the preparation of engineering drawings using WSP CAD standards and templates.
•Develop templates and libraries for CAD/BIM work.
•Agree on priorities and deadlines for drawing production with the project engineer and US team.
•Create detailed civil structural engineering drawings using Microstation, Open Bridge Modeler, and Civil 3D.
•Provide technical support and guidance to CAD/BIM technicians, stay updated on CAD technology advancements, and support knowledge sharing and training.

Key Requirements

•10+ years as a Senior BIM/CAD Technician specializing in structural engineering and civil bridges drafting.
•Proficiency in Bentley software (including Microstation and ORD).
•Proficiency in Autodesk software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
•Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and reinforcement detailing with high attention to detail and accuracy.
•Diploma in Civil Engineering (or B Tech in Civil) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
