Job Summary

Build and optimize ByteDance’s Data Management Suite data platform, working across ingestion, data development, data cataloging, security, and governance. As a backend software engineering intern, you’ll design a unified data development platform, create distributed state/metadata synchronization, and develop a high-performance distributed scheduling system. Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement a unified data development platform to improve the efficiency of data producers, including IDE, workflow management, and multiple engine integration.
•Develop efficient approaches to manage distributed states and synchronize metadata between centralized and global regional systems.
•Design and develop a high-performance, distributed scheduling system for large-scale tasks across multiple business lines.
•Collaborate with partner teams across the company and globally.
•Design and develop integrations with other big data systems.

Key Requirements

•Completing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
•Familiarity with at least one backend language, such as Java, Go, or Python.
•Strong software development experience with data structures and algorithms.
•Experience designing and launching software, including system design and testing.
•Familiarity with web frameworks such as Spring Boot and/or big data technologies like Hadoop, ClickHouse, or Flink.
