Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and supervise maintenance of deck areas, including holds, hatches, and superstructure.
  • •Manage safe loading and discharge of equipment up to 10 t using onboard Palfinger and Heila cranes.
  • •Oversee deck stores, including stowage, inventory management, and re-ordering.
  • •Act as a Watchkeeping Officer: follow navigation procedures and international regulations and carry out chart corrections.
  • •Organize and conduct drills and tests, including fire, oil pollution containment, and life raft tests.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold Security Clearance (SC) or be eligible to obtain it.
  • •Hold an Officer of the Watch (OOW) certification for vessels under 500GT.
  • •Have qualifications aligned with MHR 202.9 Port Certification Matrices, including STCW; minimum YM OFFSHORE (power) with a COMMERCIAL ENDORSEMENT.
  • •Have a crane operator’s certificate (Edh desirable) and previous workboat experience.
  • •Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong awareness of health, safety, and risk management.
