Job Summary

Support the Life Support & Payloads program by contributing to technical work on life support systems for U-boats, including CO2 binding and harmful gas control technologies. Help develop and build experiment setups for the ISS, covering mechanical/hydraulic/thermal analyses, test stand design, component procurement, verification, installation, commissioning, test support, and evaluation. Work on-site in the Friedrichshafen area within a development lifecycle from concept to operation.

Key Responsibilities

•Support process-related work for life support systems in U-boats, including CO2 binding and harmful gas control technologies
•Contribute to the development and construction of experiment facilities for the ISS
•Perform analyses (mechanical, hydraulic, thermal) of test setups
•Support test bench design and the procurement, inspection, installation, and commissioning of components
•Provide test support and contribute to test evaluation

Key Requirements

•Currently enrolled student (d/m/w) in mechanical engineering, vehicle technology, or a comparable field
•Strong teamwork and communication skills with an independent working style
•Very well organized and able to adapt to changing situations
•CAD knowledge (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, FreeCAD) is advantageous
•German fluent/negotiation-secure and advanced English are advantageous
