Job Summary

Maintain and repair a range of pump, power, and HVAC equipment at a rental facility while using the company’s tech to manage work orders and service intervals. Diagnose equipment failures at the shop and on customer sites, perform preventive maintenance when needed, and handle parts pickup/delivery. You’ll also document work, follow safe job practices and OSHA knowledge, and support training for lower-level technicians using year-round OEM training.

Key Responsibilities

•Create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals and order parts using real-time information.
•Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment and maintaining accurate paperwork/electronic work order documentation daily.
•Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and at customer locations, and perform preventive maintenance and repairs as required.
•Travel to customer job sites when needed to service power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
•Work individually or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment, assist with pick-up/delivery, and help train lower-level technicians as needed.

Key Requirements

•Own tools applicable to the position and demonstrate advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
•Have experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
•Be able to calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and read/understand schematics.
•Have superior customer service skills, along with teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
•Hold or obtain EPA 608 certification within 6–12 months; also have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
