Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as a subject matter expert for Datadog’s advocacy and engineering teams.
  • •Drive regional first-party technical event content programs (e.g., Summits and engineering meetups).
  • •Define and execute regional advocacy programs for technical audiences to keep Datadog relevant.
  • •Represent Datadog’s point-of-view at events and conferences and partner with event organizers to ensure success.
  • •Manage, mentor, and grow a team of regional Developer Advocates and coach internal teams on public communication.

Key Requirements

  • •Approximately 5+ years of experience as a software developer, SRE, or other practitioner.
  • •Approximately 5+ years of experience in senior technical developer relations, influencing product outcomes through peer collaboration.
  • •Approximately 3+ years of experience in storytelling and creating technical content (e.g., talks, workshops, videos, open source, community events).
  • •Publicly available technical writing samples, demos, or recordings of presentations.
  • •Experience coaching others to speak publicly and deliver compelling technical talks that resonate with audiences.
