Job Summary

Lead the growth of a new Healthcare Design Practice by coordinating mechanical engineering design across the full project lifecycle. Oversee review and approval of complex healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, lab, and industrial manufacturing projects, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. Provide technical leadership from concept through construction close-out, manage cross-functional engineering teams, and support client relationships and pursuit efforts in the Atlanta market.

Key Responsibilities

•Coordinate, review, and approve mechanical design plans, ensuring data integrity and compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.
•Apply advanced engineering techniques across project phases from concept through final design, procurement, construction, and operation.
•Plan and incorporate future-ready techniques and design requirements for safety and functionality of end-users, systems, and infrastructure.
•Oversee and monitor cross-functional engineering teams across mid-level and/or multiple concurrent projects, including budgets, tracking, calculations, documentation, and technical/regulatory analysis.
•Manage client relationships and provide key technical input on pursuit efforts, while building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
•12+ years of post-education engineering experience in mechanical and infrastructure design.
•Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
•Extensive knowledge of mechanical design, particularly for the healthcare industry.
•Demonstrated ability to coordinate and direct others to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
