Key Responsibilities

•Own advanced simulations for electro-mechanical locking mechanisms, including overload and impact/vandalism resistance, before production tooling.
•Drive structural weight optimization of vehicle frames and weldments using fatigue and weldment simulations to reduce margins and cost.
•Lead explicit dynamics and random vibration simulations for severe impact events and road-test replication.
•Correlate analytical CAE models with lab tests and field failure data with the Reliability engineering team to improve predictive engineering.
•Collaborate globally to support manufacturing builds at Asian contract manufacturers, including international travel 2–3 times per year.

Key Requirements

•MSc in Mechanical Engineering (or related) or equivalent practical experience.
•10+ years of CAE simulation and mechanical design experience on commercialized products.
•Deep understanding of solid mechanics, materials, elasticity/plasticity, fatigue, and weldment/fracture mechanics.
•Advanced CAE expertise in Multibody Dynamics (MBD), explicit vs. implicit solvers, non-linear transient mechanics, and random vibration (NVH).
•Advanced proficiency with Abaqus (preferred) and SIMULIA suites (Fe-Safe, Tosca, iSight) or equivalent high-end solvers, plus 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
