Key Responsibilities

  • •Rotate through chick processing back line positions, including moving baskets/dollies to designated areas.
  • •Load and process chicks by placing trays of chicks into separators and counting/pulling dollies in specific order from hatchers.
  • •Maintain processing rooms during production and ensure proper conditions are maintained for the work environment.
  • •Complete cleanup after processing, including rooms, floors, and chick belts, using wash-down methods as needed.
  • •Perform additional hatchery tasks assigned by management, including sanitation and extra cleaning as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to rotate through multiple chick processing back line positions as assigned.
  • •Must be able to follow all safety rules while working with sanitation cleaners and disinfectants.
  • •Must be able to lift, reach, and grasp with both hands, and push or pull full dollies of chicks (up to about 1200 lbs).
  • •Ability to work scheduled shifts (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 4am until job is done; Wed from 5:30 until job is done).
  • •Must be able to work holidays as scheduled, with possible Sunday scheduling during the year.
