Key Responsibilities

  • •Solve complex component/system problems using standard problem-solving techniques and apply data-driven proactive problem solving.
  • •Develop complex processes from pilot to production readiness with focus on laser welding and associated quality verification and failure detection methods while meeting ISO standards.
  • •Triage and troubleshoot HV Battery product and associated test specification issues, and establish process flow and assembly drawings covering relevant product specifications for manufacturing.
  • •Provide design for manufacturability (DFM), DFMEA, and serviceability feedback into future product development, ensuring manufacturability and reliability in high-volume production.
  • •Lead product change management and guide build process development and improvement opportunities through close cross-functional collaboration.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering with 8+ years of automotive experience in design and release of vehicle systems or attributes.
  • •Experience (5+ years) in product problem solving using industry-standard techniques.
  • •Excellent data analysis skills using statistics tools such as Minitab or JMP, plus Python and MATLAB.
  • •Technical depth in HV Battery systems (cylindrical cells, battery modules, battery enclosure, and battery pack) with associated troubleshooting.
  • •Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, PFMEA, Control Plan, DFM, and RCA with cross-functional teams.
