Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate on development and implementation of Japan-focused strategic publication plans and tactics across therapeutic areas (TAs).
  • •Ensure timely execution of high-quality, accurate, impactful publication deliverables including abstracts, posters, oral presentations, manuscripts, and slide decks.
  • •Manage and track the publication plan to ensure timely delivery.
  • •Work with external authors, investigators, and thought leaders on scientific and review deliverables and presentations.
  • •Ensure compliance with AZ Publication Standard and Alexion Publication SOP; track publications in iEnvision and provide Japan-specific quarterly metrics.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD) highly desired, with comparable industry experience acceptable.
  • •5–10 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical company or medical communications agency.
  • •Strong ability to interpret and organize complex scientific and clinical data, including experience reviewing clinical trial data and statistical analysis outputs.
  • •Proven scientific writing ability, with demonstrated experience reviewing/editing/placing Japanese abstracts, posters, and scientific articles; good English proficiency required.
  • •Working knowledge of current good publication practices and guidelines.
