Key Responsibilities

  • •Research emerging techniques in retrieval, reasoning, and agentic AI to decide what to pursue, then communicate direction to others.
  • •Prototype ideas quickly and convert validated work into shipped, production-grade features.
  • •Define technical direction spanning multiple teams to prevent cross-area architectural issues.
  • •Build and maintain backend and frontend systems for Fivetran AI, including Agents Schema pipelines and the Context Catalog UI.
  • •Own production reliability with on-call rotation, incident response, and SRE work; set testing/QA practices and perform hands-on QA when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of programming experience across Python and/or Java with ability to move between backend and frontend work.
  • •Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar).
  • •Comfortable reading AI/ML research and turning promising findings into working prototypes and production systems.
  • •Track record of independently turning ambiguous, high-level direction into delivered plans.
  • •Willingness to work across research, backend, frontend, SRE, and QA as team needs demand.
