Job Summary

Lead the People strategy for Japan and support scaling into Korea as an HR country expert. Partner with Country Leaders to translate global goals into local people programs, shape culture and employee experience, and manage complex employee relations. Oversee compliance and policy localization across Japan and Korea, act as a visa/immigration compliance owner, and use HRIS data and automation to improve employee journey and operational excellence.

•Partner with Country Leaders in Japan and Korea to drive regional growth and translate global goals into local people strategy.
•Oversee the end-to-end employee experience and help build a cohesive “One Celonis” culture with Workplace teams.
•Manage complex employee relations cases, performance improvement processes, and grievance issues while mitigating risk with Japan and Korea compliance knowledge.
•Localize People policies with Legal and People Compliance teams to align local practices with global standards.
•Own visa and immigration compliance for Japan and Korea, and refine HR processes with People Operations through automation and reporting.

Key Requirements

•8–10+ years of relevant experience in Regional HR Management or as an HR generalist in a hyper-growth or fast-paced international environment.
•Comprehensive knowledge of Japan labor legislation and compliance, including independently managing complex employee relations cases.
•Experience scaling people programs across multiple geographies, with Korean labor exposure highly advantageous.
•Ability to advise and influence senior Country Leaders on people matters.
•Proficiency with modern HRIS tools (Workday is a plus) and a data-driven approach to solving people problems.
