Job Summary

Lead the development and oversight of QHSE systems for a global maritime tanker operator headquartered in Dubai. You will drive regulatory compliance (IMO, MARPOL, SOLAS, ISM), audits, and vetting, mentor crews and offices, and coordinate incident investigations and training to foster a safety-first culture across vessel and shore operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, maintain, and improve the company’s QHSE Management System in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISM Code; ensure documentation is current and effectively implemented across fleet and office.
•Ensure vessels comply with maritime laws, international conventions, and flag state requirements; communicate updates to stakeholders and liaise with external regulatory bodies; prepare for external audits.
•Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions; monitor incidents, near-misses, and KPIs to identify trends and improvements.
•Coordinate QHSE-related training for sea and shore personnel; promote safety awareness through drills, campaigns, and toolbox talks.
•Provide regular management reports on QHSE performance, and support vetting and TMSA compliance for tanker operations; manage vetting inspections and audits.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or related field; Master’s Certificate (Deck or Engine) or equivalent technical/maritime qualification preferred.
