Job Summary

As a Principal Solutions Engineer in Germany, you will partner with Account Executives to close new business and expand existing enterprise accounts. You’ll design, develop, and deploy Proofs of Concept, lead the technical evaluation during the sales cycle, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to relay customer needs. Fluency in English and native German, plus deep data platform and POC expertise, are essential.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with Account Executives to close new business (logos) and expand existing accounts
•Design, develop, and deploy Proofs of Concept (POCs) with prospective customers
•Drive the technical evaluation stage of the sales cycle, acting as the technical lead/subject matter expert (query tuning, load testing, etc.)
•Partner with internal teams (Product, Engineering, etc.) to share feedback on customer needs and requests
•Travel within the region and internationally to support customer engagements

Key Requirements

•Fluency in English and Native German
•Experience selling enterprise technologies, preferably databases or distributed systems
•Firm understanding of distributed database fundamentals (analytic and transactional processing)
•Expertise executing POCs and deploying complex technologies into customer environments
•In-depth understanding of data platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MongoDB, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
