Key Responsibilities

•Perform work requiring practical knowledge of submarine repairs and refurbishments
•Administer the DFS system, including processing requests, reviewing technical specifications, assisting with preparation/processing, submitting required documentation (4790/2K), maintaining outstanding DFS files, and pursuing clearing
•Advise and assist the Material/Quality Assurance Officer on QA, SOC, FBW, and SUBSAFE programs
•Organize and implement QA program provisions (JFMM and P-9290) and a submarine maintenance verification program to sustain material condition supporting authorized operating depth
•Ensure Underway Certification Continuity Reports are received and properly formatted, and perform 100% review of Controlled Work Packages before vessel operation

Key Requirements

•BA/BS degree
•Minimum 6 years of experience with the QA program and FMP management practices, including experience with DFS/eDFS and related modernization information systems and contractor/installation activities
•Minimum 6 years of experience in submarine maintenance, IMA, or submarine repair
•Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector (QAI) or ship’s 3M Coordinator/monitoring the 3M or QA system in a submarine material office (N4 Squadron, FMA, Shipyard or higher)
•Active Secret security clearance
