Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and operate microservices-based, event-driven pipelines handling billions of data points.
  • •Build and scale distributed messaging systems with queue health, consumer scaling, and backpressure management.
  • •Develop API gateway routing (multi-upstream, traffic splitting, environment isolation) and architect SSO/identity federation for enterprise clients.
  • •Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, perform end-to-end incident ownership, and implement preventative measures.
  • •Improve observability and reliability, and contribute to platform evolution including Kubernetes migration and CI/CD standardization.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong foundation in distributed systems and understanding failure modes before building.
  • •Hands-on experience operating event-driven architectures and message queues in production.
  • •Deep comfort with concurrency, backpressure, and fault tolerance.
  • •Experience with Rails or Python backends at meaningful scale.
  • •A track record debugging complex production issues—preventing root causes, not just fixing symptoms.
