Key Responsibilities

•Deputize for the IT Head role for HSBC Korea Securities to provide leadership cover and continuity for critical decisions and delivery.
•Own end-to-end technology support for equity execution platforms, including FIX and API connectivity, and lead major incident management with global IT, local business, vendors, and regulatory reporting as required.
•Provide strategic oversight of core infrastructure services including networks, Linux server, and data center capabilities to ensure resilience, performance, and operational readiness.
•Lead end-user security and compliance, driving continuous improvement in controls, audit readiness, and policy adherence.
•Build stakeholder relationships across the business and external parties (KRX, KOSCOM, FSS), and drive cross-region alignment and delivery with HSBC APAC IT leadership.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Network Communication, or a related IT field (or equivalent practical experience).
•10+ years of progressive IT experience across infrastructure and/or trading application support in financial institutions, preferably securities brokerage or investment banking.
•Strong knowledge of local regulatory expectations and compliance obligations for IT operations and trading technology.
•Deep understanding of IT security principles, controls, and best practices, with experience supporting audits and regulatory reviews.
•Proven ability to lead teams and manage high-severity incidents under pressure with accountability and disciplined execution.
