Job Summary

Senior Transit Design Engineer for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects based in Salt Lake City, Denver, or Phoenix. Lead or co-lead planning, preliminary and final design, and PS&E work for BRT infrastructure in the US West region, mentor entry-level engineers, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to budget and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead or serve as a team/discipline lead, deputy project manager, or technical task leader on planning studies, preliminary design studies, and final design of BRT projects while coordinating with other team members and supporting business development
•Prepare engineering calculations and develop drawings/visual aids for BRT infrastructure and review multimodal street design
•Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and develop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates
•Utilize PS&E processes to complete discipline components and perform quality control reviews of design calculations or drawings
•Provide input to engineering budgets and schedules, and mentor entry-level engineers while working with limited supervision

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field + 8 Years of Relevant Experience in transportation design or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
•Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in Colorado, Arizona or Utah or ability to attain reciprocity within six (6) months or hire
•Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D or Microstation/Power InRoads or Power GeoPak
•Ability to prepare engineering design reports and construction drawings for highway, roadway, transit, and/or rail
•Roadway design experience and Bus Rapid Transit and/or Light Rail Transit design experience
