Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when warranted and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service checks; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight you’ll operate.
  • •Pass DOT physical and meet physical requirements, including lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations (including a 10-panel drug screen for this safety-sensitive role).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills and remain focused in a busy environment.
