Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow company and site-specific safety rules and Life Saving Rules, responding appropriately to safety alerts and hazards.
  • •Work as part of a team under a foreman/general foreman; communicate effectively and maintain motivation to work safely and productively.
  • •Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, vendor manuals, and schematic drawings; apply specifications/drawings with math and geometry to solve problems.
  • •Plan work and select proper tools/equipment/materials; dismantle machines, move equipment using hoists/dollies/rollers/trucks, construct machine foundations, and align/test equipment.
  • •Service and repair pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, including potential engine lathe machining and tack welding if required; perform lubrication and cleaning/repair of tools, machines, and equipment.

Key Requirements

  • •Completed 4 Period Apprenticeship (minimum 1,560 hrs per period) and then Journeyperson Certification, or a valid Journeyperson Certificate with Interprovincial Red Seal, or 6,240+ hours of directly related trade experience.
  • •All employees must demonstrate competence in their trade.
  • •Required offshore certificates/training (asset): Basic Survival Training (BST) incl. HUET/HUEBA, Rigging/Slinging/Banksman, H2S Alive, WHMIS 2015, Offshore Safety Regulatory Awareness, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Emergency First Aid.
  • •Must pass site-specific drug and alcohol testing and CAPP Medical as required by the customer.
  • •Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs and safely work in confined spaces and at heights, including 12-hour shifts and occasional overtime.
