Job Summary

Conduct daily construction site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes, while maintaining accurate project records and test reports. Review quantities and perform quality assurance on installed materials, serving as the owner’s agent and monitoring progress against the construction schedule. Coordinate with the resident inspector and interfaces with clients/contractors on RFIs, change orders, as-builts, submittals, and punch lists. Assist with monthly report data and technical reviews using client tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes, and maintain up-to-date project records and test reports.
•Review construction quantities and perform quality assurance on installed materials.
•Act as the owner’s agent and monitor work progression against the construction schedule.
•Read/understand contractor submittals, RFIs, change order requests, and as-built drawings; communicate field conflicts/changes to the resident inspector.
•Prepare daily construction logs, develop punch lists, and assist the resident inspector with monthly report data.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma.
•3+ years of field inspection experience on water/wastewater projects (earthwork, roads, utilities, infrastructure, paving, pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants).
•OSHA certification.
•NASSCO certification and Confined Space certification.
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and keep up with construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
