Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive medicinal drug discovery programs to key value inflection points using modern discovery principles and synthetic organic chemistry.
  • •Serve as Project Lead or Medicinal Chemistry Lead, guiding programs from initiation toward clinical candidate selection.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally with ML scientists and platform teams to deliver data-driven, high-quality scientific solutions to complex technical problems.
  • •Manage CRO resources and monitor KPIs to maintain delivery; represent the company externally with collaborators and CROs.
  • •Generate intellectual property positions and prepare detailed scientific proposals and reports to support new and ongoing programs.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, or a related technical field, or equivalent industrial experience.
  • •8+ years (or 5+ years) of professional experience in Medicinal Chemistry in a biotech, pharma, or CRO setting.
  • •Proven track record leading medicinal chemistry efforts on drug discovery projects, ideally from hit identification through lead optimization or candidate nomination, including ADME property optimization.
  • •Experience of driving a problem through structure-based drug design.
  • •For people-management roles: experience leading and mentoring a high-performing scientific team (building teams of 2–4).
