•Install building automation systems, including temperature control systems such as conduit, enclosures, wiring, and end devices.
•Prepare for on-site installation by reviewing building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating with other trades.
•Maintain assigned inventory, company equipment, tools, and related records, and ensure all required paperwork and reports are completed on time.
•Serve as direct customer contact and service products and equipment by diagnosing and repairing control systems at customer locations.
•Keep current on Trane products for installation of direct digital control systems and travel as required with occasional overnight stays.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent, with typically 2–5 years of experience in HVAC/controls (technical school/formal training preferred).
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with a handheld computer (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•Knowledge of low-voltage electricity and electronics troubleshooting, including direct digital controls and building control techniques.
•Current or future participation in an ABC electrical apprenticeship program is desired.
•Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations; previous DDC controls experience is preferred.
