Job Summary

Build and run the backend systems behind partner onboarding and the Partner Portal, helping enterprise partners go live faster and manage their day-to-day operations. You’ll design new backend microservices and REST APIs, implement permissions and role-based access control, and integrate SSO (SAML 2.0) with identity mapping. Partner with product and adjacent teams to deliver fraud reporting, case management, compliance workflows, and production support.

•Develop backend microservices for partner-facing features including fraud reporting, case management, RFI handling, audit logging, and transaction visibility.
•Design and maintain a permissions and role-based access control system for the Partner Portal.
•Implement SSO (SAML 2.0) integration, including identity mapping between partner systems and Wise.
•Build communication layer services between Wise and partners to support new case types and workflows.
•Lead technical discovery, produce design documents, and provide production support/debugging for live partner issues.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 87,500 - 111,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Experience designing, building, and deploying backend microservices in Java and Spring Boot.
•Commercial experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs, including OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2, and versioning strategies.
•Ability to design and maintain relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) with strong query performance, indexing, and data modelling.
•Familiarity with domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and microservices patterns (domain boundaries, aggregates, service responsibilities).
•Enjoy investigating complex technical landscapes (systems, dependencies, constraints) and documenting findings clearly.
