Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and remove equipment from operation using approved station procedures.
  • •Perform routine radiation monitoring and assist with chemistry sampling and analysis of reactor equipment.
  • •Diagnose equipment difficulties and perform minor adjustment and repair work using appropriate tools and materials.
  • •Execute clearance operations including equipment switching and tagging, and maintain required lubrication and chemical specifications.
  • •Respond to emergencies, support the station emergency squad/fire brigade, and maintain accurate shift records and operating procedures/surveillance tests.

Key Requirements

  • •Meet qualifications of the Auxiliary Equipment Operator and Turbine Building Operator positions.
  • •Have at least 3 years of operations power plant experience (excluding training or non-operation time).
  • •Demonstrate knowledge of company safety regulations, clearance methods, and the ability to prepare clearances from drawings and prints.
  • •Complete required INPO certified programs and other training to perform assigned duties.
  • •Qualify and receive an NRC Operator’s License (including passing oral/written exams and required physical exams).
