Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time along required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, follow loading crew signals, and assist with loading and unloading.
  • •Maintain required paperwork (invoices and bills of lading) and deliver documentation when routes are complete.
  • •Perform routine truck service (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license depending on state, appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and required drug testing, including a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Deliver with strong interpersonal and customer service skills, speaking professionally and courteously with customers and staff.
  • •Meet physical requirements, including prolonged sitting in a trailer cab and lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
