Job Summary

Maintain and enhance the IPCHEM web platform for the European Commission, spanning the full technology stack and supporting secure, reliable operations. Key Responsibilities

•Maintain the IPCHEM software across the full technology stack, including HTML, JavaScript, Java/Tomcat, and PostgreSQL.
•Lead data harmonisation, integration, and dissemination processes using ETL, ownCloud, R, and Python.
•Support IPCHEM data providers and users, including onboarding processes and documentation.
•Lead harmonisation and integration of new IPCHEM datasets and updates to existing datasets.
•Coordinate with the IPCHEM System Manager, Business Manager, data providers, and users to ensure effective delivery and operation of the platform.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or higher.
•At least 10 years of software development, including at least 5 years in web application development using Apache/Tomcat, HTML, and JavaScript.
•At least 10 years of data management, including at least 5 years managing large-scale datasets (hundreds of millions of records), preferably with PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
•At least 5 years coordinating technical teams, including at least 3 years in Agile IT projects, preferably using PM² or Scrum.
•Ability to understand, speak, and write English at a minimum B2 level; certification in a project management methodology is an asset.
