Job Summary

Maintain on-air play-out schedules for NBCUniversal’s cable and broadcast properties, coordinating between on-air, commercial, and program operations to ensure playlists run correctly. Manage air-ready schedules and quick-turnaround primetime reprocessing for a complete 24/7 lineup. Use proprietary scheduling systems (including Webscheduler and others) to perform traffic comparisons, formatting updates, validations, and contingency scheduling for sports replays.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain air-ready schedules and program formats for play-out across NBCUniversal cable and broadcast properties, digital and linear, using proprietary scheduling systems.
•Coordinate scheduling and reprocessing of quick turnaround primetime programming to ensure a complete 24/7 continuous schedule across networks and channels.
•Run traffic comparisons and implement scheduling/formatting changes based on programming changes, traffic adjustments, or NOC operational needs.
•Use scheduling tools to understand required technical programs and execute contingency scheduling for sports replays (e.g., JIPs, filler programming, sliding schedules).
•Validate webscheduler playlists for reliable resource and hardware assignments prior to play out and assist with troubleshooting as needed.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 50,000 - 60,000 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma with relevant certification, or an Associate’s Degree in Media or Communications, or equivalent professional experience in broadcast, digital, or post production.
•Solid understanding of television production and broadcast operations, including news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements.
•2+ years of professional experience working with traffic systems or any on-air scheduling system.
•2+ years of experience working in a 24/7 broadcast operation.
•Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and ability to learn new software programs.
