Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare proposals and develop scopes, including conceptual designs and execution plans.
  • •Generate engineering cost/man-hour estimates and schedules; serve as a lead technical role on P&C design deliverables (11kV–400kV).
  • •Produce detailed electricity substation P&C design packages (IEC/IEEE-compliant) including relay one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA architecture, signal lists, cable schedules, and equipment drawing updates.
  • •Perform engineering study calculations and reports (e.g., voltage drop analysis, AC/DC load studies) and develop equipment specifications for procurement/FAT.
  • •Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities, run design reviews, ensure Safety by Design, and provide guidance/mentorship to less experienced team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •12–15 years of experience in the field of Substation Transmission & Distribution and renewable (onshore & offshore wind/solar) across USA projects.
  • •Thorough knowledge and experience applying National Grids Technical Specification, Technical Guidance Notes, and Design Handbooks for substation protection & control in the UK.
  • •Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • •Familiarity with substation automation basics based on IEC 61850; proficiency in AutoCAD and E-TAP is an added advantage.
