Job Summary

Lead and grow a traffic engineering team in Iowa, delivering planning, analysis, PS&E development, and ITS projects for clients such as Iowa DOT and City of Waterloo/Cedar Falls. Manage projects, recruit and mentor staff, build client relationships, and coordinate with other disciplines to provide transportation solutions across the state and region. Balance leadership with technical delivery across planning, analysis, design, and project documentation.

•Lead, build, and support a team of professionals to deliver traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and planning/design
•Prepare plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation
•Manage ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process and coordinate with clients/sub-consultants
•Provide technical leadership and supervision of tasks, review work, and ensure quality control across deliverables
•Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, coordinating with business development to capture opportunities

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 115,000 - 145,000 annually

•Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 years of related experience; demonstrated equivalency of education and experience
•Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferred)

•Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) (preferred)
•Professional Engineer license in Iowa, or ability to obtain license within 6 months
