Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas; follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine truck checks; report maintenance malfunctions.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle, per state requirements.
  • •Pass background and drug testing required by federal/state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical for vehicles over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and perform prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab.
