Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide acoustic consultancy services to support the business’s technical and commercial needs.
  • •Conduct environmental acoustics and vibration investigations, including noise/vibration impact assessments, monitoring, site inspections, and mitigation and management.
  • •Complete noise predictions using specialised acoustic models and software, and analyse and process data.
  • •Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams on the largest and most complex projects in WSP’s national pipeline.
  • •Prepare technical reports, begin building relationships with internal and external clients, and contribute to proposals and winning work.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent.
  • •5–8 years of experience in acoustics, noise and/or vibration within a consultancy environment.
  • •Strong working knowledge of Australian acoustic standards and guidelines and experience applying relevant legislation, standards, guidelines and project specifications.
  • •Experience using acoustics software such as SoundPlan or CadnaA (or equivalent) and mapping tools such as QGIS or AutoCad (or equivalent).
  • •A demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports and experience leading small projects (plus experience with monitoring/scope management).
