Key Responsibilities

  • •Receive repair orders, perform work outlined on the repair order efficiently and accurately, and diagnose malfunctions for repair.
  • •Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts, save and tag parts for warranty or customer requests, and document work performed.
  • •Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required; notify the service advisor if work is not needed or cannot be completed in the promised time.
  • •Road-test vehicles when required (or refer to the test technician) while ensuring the customer vehicle is not used for personal errands.
  • •Supervise assigned apprentice technicians, attend factory-sponsored training, keep up with factory technical bulletins, and maintain a neat shop area while accounting for dealership-owned tools.
