Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage all phases of Construction Management and Inspection (CMI) projects from planning through closeout, meeting quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • •Serve as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, delivering exceptional client service and fostering strong relationships.
  • •Provide technical leadership for constructability reviews, field engineering challenges, and construction-related issues during execution.
  • •Lead, mentor, and develop project teams; coordinate work of engineers, inspectors, and technicians to meet project objectives.
  • •Ensure compliance with contract requirements, applicable regulations, quality standards, and AECOM policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering plus 8 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Previous experience working on VDOT and/or DDOT projects.
  • •PE License in DC, Maryland, or Virginia, or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
  • •US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
  • •Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Construction Management and Inspection (CMI), including experience managing (preferred).
