Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop a cohesive department range aligned to brand strategy, ensuring no gaps or duplication and that each season is logically and commercially planned.
  • •Work with Design to shape product direction and deliver department KPIs by identifying and addressing risks in partnership with Merchandising.
  • •Use sales and trend data to anticipate customer needs and deliver commercial product ranges that account for global factors.
  • •Trade effectively by identifying range gaps and opportunities with the biggest impact on department performance, while managing risk and staying within OTB.
  • •Lead and build the team of ABs and BAs, providing direction, development, recognition, and regular feedback; maintain supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.

  • •Significant experience operating as a Junior Buyer/Buyer within a fast-paced, rapidly changing global Retailer.
  • •Proven ability to drive a department’s success through creative and commercial thinking.
  • •Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to gain buy-in from teams and management.
  • •In-depth knowledge of planning and trading documents, including the ability to challenge figures and plans.
  • •Strong prioritisation and systems skills, including relevant Trading systems and MS Office.
