Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
  • •Operate machinery at times during installation for testing purposes.
  • •Remove and replace ignition systems without a custom keypad and controller, then integrate communication between the keypad and telematics systems.
  • •Handle installation scenarios from basic (power, ignition, ground) to complex (custom wiring harnesses and accessing the CAN network).
  • •Travel to client sites or various EquipmentShare rental yards through the region for installation cases and occasionally work outside business hours or weekends.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certificate preferred).
  • •Mechanical aptitude and experience in a related field (e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer, or mobile electronics installer).
  • •Ability to install and troubleshoot telematics systems, including working with wiring harnesses and the CAN network when required.
  • •Own tools (a few specialty tools will be provided) and maintain a clean driving record to pass a background check.
  • •Open to traveling within a 250 mile radius of the local branch for up to a week at a time, and pass a 10-panel drug screen for this safety-sensitive role.
