Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the company’s litigation portfolio, independently driving contested matters and escalating when legal, business, or reputational risks warrant.
  • •Develop litigation strategy for significant matters, including evaluating claims/defenses and recommending litigation and settlement positions.
  • •Provide senior leadership with clear assessments of litigation risk, including exposure, outcome ranges, strategic alternatives, costs, and business implications.
  • •Select, retain, and manage outside counsel, setting expectations for strategy, staffing, budgets, and outcomes across the litigation life-cycle.
  • •Oversee discovery and evidence-preservation (litigation holds, collection/review, e-discovery strategy, privilege), and support internal investigations as appropriate.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 220,000 - 250,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
  • •7+ years of relevant legal experience managing litigation, including nationally recognized law firm and/or in-house experience.
  • •Serve as lead or managing attorney on complex litigation, with strong command of litigation strategy and procedure (discovery, motions, mediation, trial prep, settlement negotiations, appeals).
  • •Demonstrated ability to balance legal risk with practical business considerations and deliver actionable advice in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Ability to build and improve legal processes, playbooks, and operational infrastructure to support a scaling business.
