Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Use test instruments to inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and operate the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work and complete DOT forms on repair orders, uploading photos and findings using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and at least 3 years of related field experience (or an equivalent combination of education/certification and experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the job duties.
  • •Obtain and supply ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or provide a DOT medical card with more than four months remaining).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
