Job Summary

Support Visa’s Global Commercial & Money Movement Solutions (CMS) organization as a proactive product and commercial lawyer. Advise business teams on product development and deployment for Visa Direct, Visa Commercial Solutions, and Visa Government Solutions, covering commercial, regulatory, IP, privacy, and contracting issues. Lead review of product-related marketing and communications, manage regulatory impact assessments, coordinate globally, and supervise outside counsel as needed.

•Partner with business teams to understand objectives and help develop product and service offerings for CMS products and services, including Visa Direct, Visa Commercial Solutions, and Visa Government Solutions.
•Provide sophisticated counsel across commercial, regulatory, IP, privacy, and contracting considerations for product development, deployment, and related strategy.
•Lead review of product-related marketing materials, public relations, and corporate communications.
•Manage regulatory support and evaluate how shifts in the regulatory landscape may impact Visa and its partners.
•Coordinate globally with regional legal and business teams and supervise outside counsel when required.

Salary: USD 180,600 - 289,300 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of relevant work experience (or 2+ years with an advanced degree such as Masters, MBA, JD, or MD; or 0 years with a PhD).
•Valid license to practice in the state where the job is located, or ability to become state registered in-house counsel in good standing.
•6+ years of relevant post-JD work experience (or international equivalent), with strong academic credentials including a J.D. degree.
•Experience advising in payments, financial services, technology, or fintech, with transactional background drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
•Knowledge of privacy and competition laws, plus the ability to manage legal and regulatory aspects of complex business initiatives with minimal supervision.
