Job Function: Hardware, Embedded & Systems Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•System Design & Integration: Develop and validate eBOS designs, including DC and AC collection systems, cabling, grounding, protection, and interconnection components; Define and manage system interfaces between PV modules, DC/DC converters, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and control systems; Generate and review electrical design documentation such as SLDs, wiring schematics, and interconnection drawings; Collaborate with product and systems engineering teams to integrate eBOS into PV + Storage power block solutions.
•Testing, Validation & Commissioning: Conduct system-level testing and validation at Nextpower test facilities and project sites; Execute performance, functionality, and grid compliance testing for inverters, battery systems, and PV optimizers; Analyze test results and data to identify performance improvements; Develop and enhance testing infrastructure and procedures.
•Field Support & Troubleshooting: Support commissioning and deployment of power plant systems in the field; Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for electrical and system-level issues; Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions; Diagnose and resolve electrical faults (grounding and communication in PV + BESS).
•Standards, Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with NEC, UL, IEEE, IEC, NFPA; Develop and maintain commissioning procedures, installation guidelines, and maintenance processes; Support grid interconnection and compliance requirements.
•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, product engineering, quality, and supplier teams to improve system design and reliability; Work with suppliers to qualify electrical components; Support customer-facing activities and deployment of systems.

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: USD 100,000 - 110,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, solar PV, or energy storage.
•Strong understanding of AC/DC power systems and distribution; Power conversion systems (inverters, DC/DC converters); eBOS function and application; Electrical protection, grounding, and coordination.
•Experience with electrical design documentation (SLDs, schematics).
•Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25–50%).
