Job Summary

Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other negotiable transactions while operating an online teller terminal and accurately balancing cash. Provide courteous customer service, resolve client requests and inquiries, maintain privacy of customer information, and promote bank products and services. Follow teller procedures and compliance requirements, detect and resolve discrepancies, complete reports and records, and coordinate with area personnel and management.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform teller functions efficiently, effectively, and accurately, including processing deposits, withdrawals, and cashier’s checks.
•Cash negotiable instruments, examine documents for endorsements/negotiability, and process transfers between accounts.
•Process loan payments, savings bonds, and related items such as traveler’s checks, official checks, and money orders.
•Operate the online teller terminal, maintain privacy of customer information, and resolve client requests and inquiries promptly.
•Follow teller procedures and compliance requirements, balance cash daily, detect and resolve discrepancies, and complete required reports and records.

Key Requirements

•High school graduate or equivalent.
•At least one year of related experience/cash handling required; previous Teller experience preferred.
•Understanding of bank operations preferred.
•Good communication skills, professional appearance, and good math skills.
•Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment (e.g., adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, coin/money counting machines, telephone).
